Business Manager, Chris Darker joined the Local in 1996 following retirement with the City of Redding Police Department. Chris started as an organizer and labor representative. He was promoted to Assistant Business Manager in 1998 and elected to Business Manager in May of 2000. Chris is the Chief Executive for the Local and serves as the Secretary-Treasurer on the Executive Board. He also serves as the Political Captain for the Pacific Southwest Region and as a Committee member for the LIUNA International Public Employee Department.

Assistant Business Manager, Crystal Mair started with UPEC in 1996 as the Office Manager. Crystal was appointed to Assistant Business Manager in January 2002. Crystal manages the office staff and assists the Business Manager/Secretary-Treasurer in administering those duties. Crystal creates most of the Local publications.

Senior Labor Representative, Steve Allen, is one of the founders of UPEC Local 792 - helping to start the Local in 1995 and serving as the first Business Manager. Steve has over 25 years of experience representing employees in Northern California. Steve is the lead negotiator for many Local 792 contracts.

Labor Representative, Mike Lyon joined the UPEC staff in December 2003 after retiring as the Undersheriff for Siskiyou County Sheriff's Department. Mike is assigned to the Modoc and Lassen regions where he represents members in negotiations and grievance and disciplinary cases.

South Bay Labor Representative, Rick Burruss joined the UPEC staff upon our expansion into the South Bay Region. A long-time experienced representative, Rick handles day-to-day representation and negotiations for our members in Monterey, Pacific Grove, Milpitas and Capitola among other South-Bay Area Cities and Counties.

Labor Representative, Dave Ritchie, came to UPEC in 2002. Dave holds a Law Degree from the University of Manitoba. Dave primarily represents employees in Shasta, Trinity and Federal Sector employees in San Francisco. He is also responsible for the Local's website and communications systems.

The newest member of the UPEC Local 792 staff is Cinamon Pitts, originally from Yreka, CA. She joined the UPEC in July, 2008. She came from Yreka Union High School District where she was the CSEA Chapter 606 President. She believes that working hard is a necessity to succeed and to help others succeed in the world today. As she continues to go to school to obtain a Bachelor's degree, she always strives to do her best and to let her honesty, integrity and dedication speak through her actions.

Office Technician II, Patti Wyatt joined UPEC in 2007 and brings with her longstanding accomplishments in client relations in service industries. Patti has quickly become expert at working in the member database and as our front-line contact person with all members who are calling our offices for fast and courteous service.
