Business Manager Elected to Vice President of CLC

REDDING - The 2010 Officer Elections were held for the Five Counties Central Labor Council on January 28th. Approximately 60 delegates from Northstate Unions were in attendance for the vote. Long time President Dwight Evans, IBEW Local 340 was re-elected as President followed by Chris Darker, LiUNA/UPEC Local 792 as 1st Vice President, Loel Yerion, UFCW Local 8 as 2nd Vice President, and Ruth Rhodes of APWU, Local 960 as Secretary-Treasurer. Council Officers serve two-year terms .
The Central Labor Council represents Unions who have members working in Modoc, Shasta, Siskiyou, Tehama and Trinity Counties. Darker had been nominated for President but a couple days before the election decided to withdraw his nomination for the Vice President post. Labor Council meetings are on the 4th Thursday of each month beginning at 6:00 p.m at 900 Locust Street in Redding.
