Former UPEC Board Member Passes

REDDING HQ - It is with sorrow that I report that one of our own and former UPEC/LiUNA Local 792 Executive Board member Frank Barrett, age 45 died last night. Cause of death is currently not known.

“Frank was a dedicated union member who cared about his family and his fellow worker.  He will be missed by all of us” said, Local Business Manager Chris Darker.

Frank was a Deputy Sheriff for Siskiyou County Sheriff’s Department.  He served the Siskiyou County Deputy Sheriffs Association and was appointed as a UPEC Steward November 20, 2003.  In 2006 Frank was elected to the UPEC Local 792 Executive Board and served in that position until March 30, 2008.

Frank is survived by his wife and two children.
