Lassen County Rejects Units No Increase Proposal

On May 14, 2009 the Lassen County General Unit endorsed a proposal to the County for a one year extension to the current contract with no changes or requests. The members of the General Unit felt that the proposal would assist the County with the upcoming budget. The General Unit proposal was quickly followed by like proposal’s from the Road Department Association and the Lassen Association of Managers and Professionals. On June 19, 2009 the Union was notified that the proposal’s had been rejected by the Board of Supervisor’s. 

The County spokesperson has advised the bargaining units that they would be setting a time and date to start negotiations in the near future. As of the writing of this article the Union has not been contacted by the County.
