Local Staff Complete Training

SILVERSPRING, MD - UPEC announced today that two UPEC Local 792 employees completed Collective Bargaining Training this week at the National Labor College. Assistant Business Manager Crystal Mair-Darker and Organizer Tammi Lidie completed their formal training this past week. Crystal started with Local 792 in 1996 as an Office Manager and was appointed Assistant Business Manager in 2002. Tammi was assigned by the Redding Joint Political Action Coordinating Committee (JPACC) as a campaign coordinator in August 2010 working under the supervision of UPEC. Following the election in November, Tammi was hired under a grant from the LiUNA Public Employee Department as an organizer for UPEC. She has worked on the recent Sacramento County Campaign Data Processors/IT employees leading a vote to victory last week and the City of Redding Miscellaneous Technical employees campaign scheduled for election April 20th.
