If you are called into a meeting with management, you have the right to know the subject of the meeting. If you reasonably believe the meeting could lead to discipline you have the right to representation. YOU MUST INFORM YOUR SUPERVISOR THAT YOU REQUEST REPRESENTATION.
Most of the time employees do not request representation and the supervisor does not have to inform the employee of their rights. Labor Representatives can provide employees with the most options and assistance when they are with the employee beginning in this very first meeting. Please pass this information on to your coworkers as well. Know and exercise your rights.
