Shasta County Administrator to Meet with Unions

REDDING - Shasta County Chief Administative Officer responded today to a request from the county unions to meet over the budget issues The meeting has been scheduled for Friday, June 12 at 9:00 a.m. in Board Chambers for the Joint Issues Forum (JIF) members to meet with the County Administrator Larry Lees, Board of Supervisors Chairman Glenn Hawes, County Negotiator Gene Bell, Human Resources Director Michelle Schafer, and Marty Bishop.
UPEC Business Manager Chris Darker said the unions want to be proactive rather than reactive to the needs of the County and the citizens they serve. County Management has agreed to allow each bargaining unit to bring an additional 3 bargaining unit members to this meeting. These members must get permission from their supervisors to attend and will only be allowed 1 hour of County paid time to attend the meeting.
