UPEC Board Member Retires

REDDING - Long time UPEC Executive Board member Mary Lou Allen is retiring from public service next month. Mary Lou has worked for the Alturas Police Department for 23 years and for Modoc County before her assignment at the City. Mary Lou was the first Executive Boar member representive the CIty of Alturas and then Modoc County on the UPEC Board beginning in 1997. Now after 13 years of service on the Board she moves on to a new chapter in her life. “Mary Lou has served UPEC very well. She has had to make tough decisions while watching the organization grow over the years and we will miss her insights”, said Business Manager Chris Darker.
Mary Lou’s sucessor, Steve Jacques was sworn into office as the Modoc Regional Representative to the Executive Board last Saturday. Steve has also worked for Modoc County and currently serves the City of Alturas Fire Department.
