Yreka City Employees Association Ratify One Year Contract

YCEA ratified a one year contract that included increases to the City’s contribution toward the employees’ medical insurance premium, an increase of 4 hours of floating holiday time and increased the amount of time for an employee to file a grievance. The City has also agreed to have a regular monthly meeting with the Union to discuss a variety of topics including alternate work schedules, creating new policies, revising current policies and more. This is the first contract for YCEA since they joined UPEC this last summer and even in these hard economic times it did not include any givebacks.
